What is Self-Storage?

Self-storage is an affordable, efficient way for you to store your possessions in a clean and secure environment. Self-storage makes it easy to store items of all shapes and sizes in one convenient storage location. You provide the lock and keep the only key(s).

What are the lease terms?

All of our rentals are on a month-to-month basis and automatically renew monthly until you give us a vacate notice. When making your last payment at the beginning of the month, we ask that you let us know. 

What hours can a unit be rented?

Rent online 24/7. Complete and sign all necessary rental paperwork and move-in 24/7! Yes, we provide you with an access code and you have gated 24 hour access for free.

Do you pro-rate rent?

Yes, the month you move-in is pro-rated monthly rate. We do not refund partial months or pro-rate on your move-out.

What size units do you have and how much do they cost?

We have a wide variety of unit sizes to meet your needs. Please click on "Rent Storage" tab and it will give you pricing and availability.

How should I store my things?

Everything should be in plastic totes with sealed lids. Furniture should be wrapped in plastic. Cardboard boxes and loose plastic bags are not sufficient to protect your things. Most damage to stored items is due to how the items are packed and stored. 

How do I pay for my unit?

Payments can be processed by telephone, by mail or through our website. All new clients are signed up for our free autopay service for payments to be drafted from your bank account or charged to your credit card / debit card monthly.

I lost the key to my lock; what can I do?

For a small fee we can cut off your lock when Maintenance is available. You can also cut off your lock if you lose the keys but must take care not to damage the door. Please notify us in either case.

Who has access to my space besides me?

You will be the only one to have access to your unit, unless you add someone to your account to have authorized access. You will need to provide your authorized access person(s) with your gate code and the key to your lock.

Is vehicle storage allowed?

Yes, we recommend at least a 10×20 size unit for most vehicles. Extended trucks with a long bed or large SUV’s usually fit well in a 10×25 size unit. A tarp must be placed under the vehicle to protect the concrete. Cleaning fees apply for oil spots.

Do you have outdoor vehicle storage?

We offer outdoor vehicle storage and have spaces for Autos, Boats, Trailers, and RVs 

Do you provide pest control?

Yes, we use professional preventative exterminating measures at our location. Please be aware of our Soft Bait packets. Keep kids and pets away.

Do I have to rent a unit online before coming to Berwick Storage?

Yes. Renting a unit is required for you to gain access to the property. You can rent a unit here on the website or by calling our office. Once you sign the rental agreement you will be given access.

When can I move-in?

Immediately after you have completed all the rental paperwork and paid for the unit. Your gate code works 24/7!

Do I have to sign a lease?

No, but a signed monthly Rental Agreement is required. All rentals are month-to-month. We pro-rate the first month and ask that you alert us the last month you will be there.

What do I need to rent a unit?

Driver’s license or government-issued photo ID, a lock, and first month's pro-rated payment by credit or debit card. We accept the following forms of payment after the first month: we accept all major credit/debit cards, MasterCard, Visa, AMEX and Discover.

What if I’m not sure what size space I need?

No problem, give us a phone call.  We will be happy to show you around the property and let you see a number of unit sizes. Seeing units in person is the best way to decide which size is best for you. We often can do this remotely over the phone.

Do I need a lock?

Yes. You must provide/purchase your own lock and you keep the only key(s). We strongly recommend a high-security lock, such as a disc lock. Remember, the lock on your unit provides the last line of defense against an intruder; the better the lock, the better your defense.
